Minka Kelly was born on June 24 1980. Her full name is Minka Dumont Kelly. She was born in Los Angeles, California. Her height is 5’8”. Minka Kelly is the only child of her parents. She is a daughter of former aerosmith guitarist who used to play in 1980s. His name was Rick Dufey. Her mother was Maureen Dumont Kelly, exotic dancer and a show girl in Vegas. Later Minka Kelly used to stay with her single mother who used to travel often between different communities before settling in New Mexico when Minka was in pursuing her junior studies. Minka Kelly is the descent of French and Irish.

Since childhood her dream was to become an actress. And she has become a very successful one.
Her childhood was not very happy, as she spent most of her time with her mother who was struggling for her own living. Before this label she was only known as the cheer leader of her first four season of the television serial Friday Night Light. With the identity of sexiest women alive Minka Kelly started getting attractive offers from the show business , but at the end it was her choice of how she shows her talent.

Before coming to show business Minka Kelly was the in the medical field working as a surgical assistant. She got her fist break in 2004 as a guest spot on television. With this guest spot she came in the eye of lots of producers and then she got a break in the well known serial Friday Night Light. This serial opens the doors for Minki Kelly in the show business. Then she decided that she had a long way to go and she never looked back. After the success of Friday Night Light Minka Kelly Started getting roles in the films also although she was offered only small roles. Some of the movies done by her are The kingdom, which came in 2007 . She was also seen in the film named five hundred Days of summer casting Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. In this movie she was seen at the end. Her role was small and significant. In 2010 she was seen in the thriller The Roomate. She was co- starred with Leighton Meester. All the movies were of great success. Soon in 2010 a breaking news came by New York press that Minka Kelly got engaged with baseball player Derek Jeter. He used to play for New Tork Yankees.

At the age of nineteen she completed her graduation from Valley High School. This school was situated in Albuquerque. After completing her graduation Minka Kelly came back to her home town which is Los Angeles. During the trial screening for a modelling agency she met a famous former Playmate Playboy who was interested in showing her a long way in show business. He offered Minka a job of a front office at the surgeon’s office and in the exchange of her hard work as a receptionist she will under go breast augmentation. It was a fair deal in return of Minka’s hard work. But Minka did not agree to this and using her medical experience and exposure she was encouraged to join school for about one year. Her aim was to become surgeon’s assistant at that point of time. She has also worked on the post of a scrub tech . She spent four years being a scrub tech but in between she also used to give auditions for her dream to come true. Before signing the agreement for the serial that provides a tremendous boost to her career Friday Night Lights Minka struggled a lot. A famous movie called high school foolball was the base of this serial. Including serials she was also getting the short roles in the movies, she was called for the chat shows, several advertisements were in the pipelines also.

To show her expertise in her serial Friday Night Light she took a hard training from cheerleading squad from Pflugerville High School. This training was necessary for the role of a cheerleader as she was unaware of the single step of cheerleading. She started from the basics. Minka Kelly received lots of praise from her fans , friends and family for her performance In Friday Night Lights. The big achievement was when the leading news paper praises her performance by calling it heartbreaking. This was the big achievement for Minka Kelly. For the movie The Kingdom she shot a small role with Jamie Foxx and Peter Berg who directed the film.. She was also in the relationship with actor Chris Evans, soon they broke up and Kelly was involved wih Donald Faison. She also dated Derek Jeter the famous baseball player from May to August 2008. and from September 2007 till January 2008 she dated musician John Mayer.
